About Creme Lagoa
Creme Lagoa is a distinguished Portuguese marble characterized by its soft, warm aesthetic. This stone features a fine-grained structure with a palette of rosy white-yellow, bright white-yellow, and indigo-white tones, often accented by subtle greyish or brownish spots. Its gentle, luminous appearance makes it ideal for high-end interior applications, including flooring, wall cladding, and custom architectural elements. Architects and designers frequently select Creme Lagoa for its ability to enhance natural light in residential and commercial spaces. Suitable finishes include polished, honed, and leathered surfaces to highlight its unique texture. Marmi di Carrara supplies Creme Lagoa in blocks, standard 2/3 cm slabs, and precise cut-to-size pieces. We provide detailed photographs of actual slabs to ensure transparency before purchase, allowing you to verify the specific veining and colour variations of your chosen material.

Finishes for Creme Lagoa
Polished
Mirror-like gloss that brings out colour and veining at full depth. The classic choice for walls, tops and interior floors; slippery when wet.
Honed
Smooth and matt, with a soft satin look. Hides small scratches and etching better than a polish and is safer underfoot.
Brushed
Worked with abrasive brushes for a slightly undulating, silky surface that follows the grain of the stone. Warm to the touch and easy to live with.
Sandblasted
A fine, even roughness obtained with a jet of sand. Lightens the colour and gives grip: used for exteriors, steps and pool surrounds.
Bush-hammered
A rough, pitted surface made with a toothed hammer. Maximum slip resistance for exterior paving, ramps and steps.
Care and maintenance
- Clean with water and a neutral detergent made for natural stone; rinse and dry.
- Avoid acids and descalers (vinegar, lemon, anti-limescale sprays): they etch calcite and dull a polished surface.
- Seal with an impregnating protector after laying and repeat when water no longer beads, typically every 1–3 years on tops.
- Wipe wine, coffee, oil and citrus juice straight away, especially on kitchen and vanity tops.
- A dulled or scratched surface can be re-honed or re-polished on site: the stone is the same through its whole thickness.
