About Radiant Red

Radiant Red is a vibrant red granite quarried in the United States, renowned for its medium grain and uniform appearance. The stone presents a deep, saturated red body with subtle lighter speckles that add depth without disrupting the overall hue. Its consistent grain makes it ideal for both polished and honed finishes, suitable for flooring, wall cladding, countertops, and outdoor applications such as paving and monuments. Marmi di Carrara supplies Radiant Red in robust blocks and precision-cut slabs of 2‑3 cm thickness, offering cut‑to‑size options and real‑time photographs of actual slabs before purchase, ensuring confidence in every project.

Medium-grained granite with a uniform red matrix, displaying a consistent colour and occasional fine speckles of lighter mineral phases.

Finishes for Radiant Red

Polished

Mirror-like gloss that brings out colour and veining at full depth. The classic choice for walls, tops and interior floors; slippery when wet.

Honed

Smooth and matt, with a soft satin look. Hides small scratches and etching better than a polish and is safer underfoot.

Leathered

A brushed texture on hard stones: matt, lightly textured and very good at hiding fingerprints and water marks on worktops.

Bush-hammered

A rough, pitted surface made with a toothed hammer. Maximum slip resistance for exterior paving, ramps and steps.

Flamed

A thermal finish that makes the crystals burst and leaves a rough, non-slip surface. The standard for exterior granite.

Care and maintenance

  • Clean with water and a neutral detergent; hard stones tolerate everyday use very well.
  • Sealing is quick and recommended on light colours and on honed, leathered or flamed finishes.
  • Avoid waxes and film-forming products that leave a layer on the surface.
  • Outdoors, an occasional wash with a pressure cleaner at moderate pressure restores the colour.
  • Hot pans, knives and frost are not a problem for most stones of this family; use trivets anyway to protect sealers.
