About Cherry Flower

Cherry Flower is a fine-grained grey granite sourced from China, known for its subtle veining and consistent color that ranges from light to medium grey. The stone’s texture is smooth with a fine grain, making it ideal for both polished and honed finishes. Its durability and resistance to weathering make it a popular choice for high-traffic interiors, exterior cladding, and architectural detailing. Marmi di Carrara supplies Cherry Flower in blocks and slabs of 2–3 cm thickness, offering cut-to-size options and high-resolution photos of actual slabs before purchase, ensuring architects and designers can make informed decisions.

Typically grey granite.

Finishes for Cherry Flower

Polished

Mirror-like gloss that brings out colour and veining at full depth. The classic choice for walls, tops and interior floors; slippery when wet.

Honed

Smooth and matt, with a soft satin look. Hides small scratches and etching better than a polish and is safer underfoot.

Leathered

A brushed texture on hard stones: matt, lightly textured and very good at hiding fingerprints and water marks on worktops.

Bush-hammered

A rough, pitted surface made with a toothed hammer. Maximum slip resistance for exterior paving, ramps and steps.

Flamed

A thermal finish that makes the crystals burst and leaves a rough, non-slip surface. The standard for exterior granite.

Care and maintenance

  • Clean with water and a neutral detergent; hard stones tolerate everyday use very well.
  • Sealing is quick and recommended on light colours and on honed, leathered or flamed finishes.
  • Avoid waxes and film-forming products that leave a layer on the surface.
  • Outdoors, an occasional wash with a pressure cleaner at moderate pressure restores the colour.
  • Hot pans, knives and frost are not a problem for most stones of this family; use trivets anyway to protect sealers.
