About Amelia Rose

Amelia Rose is a striking pink‑rose granite quarried in Italy, renowned for its warm, uniform colour and subtle veining that adds depth without overwhelming the surface. The stone displays a medium to coarse grain, offering a robust yet elegant appearance suitable for both interior and exterior applications. Ideal for flooring, wall cladding, countertops, and outdoor paving, Amelia Rose performs well in polished, honed or brushed finishes, each highlighting its natural radiance. Marmi di Carrara supplies Amelia Rose in solid blocks and 2‑3 cm thick slabs, cut‑to‑size on request, with high‑resolution photos of actual slabs available before purchase.

Typically a pink to rose granite with a coarse-grained texture.

Finishes for Amelia Rose

Polished

Mirror-like gloss that brings out colour and veining at full depth. The classic choice for walls, tops and interior floors; slippery when wet.

Honed

Smooth and matt, with a soft satin look. Hides small scratches and etching better than a polish and is safer underfoot.

Leathered

A brushed texture on hard stones: matt, lightly textured and very good at hiding fingerprints and water marks on worktops.

Bush-hammered

A rough, pitted surface made with a toothed hammer. Maximum slip resistance for exterior paving, ramps and steps.

Flamed

A thermal finish that makes the crystals burst and leaves a rough, non-slip surface. The standard for exterior granite.

Care and maintenance

  • Clean with water and a neutral detergent; hard stones tolerate everyday use very well.
  • Sealing is quick and recommended on light colours and on honed, leathered or flamed finishes.
  • Avoid waxes and film-forming products that leave a layer on the surface.
  • Outdoors, an occasional wash with a pressure cleaner at moderate pressure restores the colour.
  • Hot pans, knives and frost are not a problem for most stones of this family; use trivets anyway to protect sealers.
